I needed a fresh start this year with no one's agenda or baggage. I am so happy we found this old Hollywood building directly across our future home which is under construction at 6500 Sunset Blvd. It is the great Hollywood Athletic Club building. I had my first professional meeting at the building back in 1986 for a project called "The Apothecary" which was co-written by myself and the late great Nat Kelly Cole, Nat King's son and my dear friend. Today I just noticed the historical plaque stating January 25th as an important date for the building. That's my birthday. I think Kelly is looking out for me from the heavens. I couldn't be happier.
