Anyhow, this is my father. He has a phenomenal intellect and great love for the circus. He has always taught me to keep one eye on the big picture, and one eye on the quality of the textures that make up the big picture.

Chase and Mike Campbell, Nick Pecastaing, CRC and Ethan "Mr. Slippery" Diness. I think BikerCHEF found his food scientist in Mr. Slippery...he's an outstanding chef, culinary teacher and big time biker.

My favorite hot dog stand in New Mexico. It might be the only one, I'm not sure. I also used this location in my film "Palmer's Pick-up" back in '98.

I was very uptight on my way to do this important event because of some in-house problems we are currently resolving. I felt much better as soon as I discovered Elvis was in the building.

Bobby, Elyse's Etruscan body guard and good friend, for the most part watched our backs. Things were about to get a bit crazy. Elyse and I did a long interview with George the reporter who was absolutely fascinated about these two powerful yet bizzare characters who are creating a Hi-Def studio for the future. After the interview, he was a true believer.

Debo's younger silent Brother. I liked him. There was something Plato-esque about him.

The great Debo himself! The man is a character. And I love characters. But, this was the beginning of the end in terms of alcohol for me. Also, Debo give me back my sunglasses. I'm nothing without them, you know that. And you better learn how to ride if you ever want me to introduce you to Get Down.

White Hen Pantry. The dark, carnival side to Crystal Lake was about to make it's self known to me. I just wish I wasn't so exhausted. Anyhow, I can't tell you anymore about the whacky evening, but I can tell you I'm truly amazed with my fellow man. In a non-judgemental, good way. The very hard-working people of Crystal Lake truly know how to party! And on that, I will sign off.

I am in Illinois. And I am very happy to be here. I am participating in the Barrington Hills Arts Council fund raiser. Just like those geese want to know where the hell their water went, the people want to know where the hell their arts programs went. The Geese and The People have a right to know!

Christopher Coppola is presently looking for another personal assistant. The pay is so so. He is known as a mean Mr. Macaroni and very odd bird. However, his assistant will learn a lot and be part of a bigger picture. We think a lady would be better for him because his chivalrous tendencies kick in when he is enraged. Also, we have noticed with men, his pirate character can get blown out of proportion and he tends to like to eat men for breakfast. We are looking for someone who knows Mac inside and out, has a very good phone manner and can make his already confused life a bit more clear. This will be my 6th Cinequest presence. It's not only a very well run ship, but a terrific film festival as well. I'm happy to be a part of it again.

I was up early to move my bikes. I noticed Mr. Squirrel sitting on the telephone wire directly over our street. I said "Good Morning". He didn't respond with his usual chatter.

I brought the old timer a little breakfast.

He turned to look at me with his signature grey whiskers. He seemed sad, indifferent. He wasn't interested in a little breakfast. And then I noticed...



He lost his significant other to the streets and somehow in his own animal way wanted to know "Why?" So he sat up there all morning in the still greyness waiting for the answer...

The ultimate aim of the quest, if one is to return, must be neither release nor ecstasy for oneself, but the wisdom and power to serve others.
